The 2018 Arizona Legislature has Adjourned!
At 12:26 a.m. on May 4, 2018, Arizona’s 53rd Legislature Regular Session Adjourned Sine Die.
It was an exciting year in the Arizona Legislature with the expulsion of Representative Don Shooter, the #RedForEd and #MeToo movement and a major budget battle!
Fortunately, it was not a big legislative year for community associations. The Governor has signed several new bills that pertain to community associations (none of which have a large impact on community associations). For a listing and summary of the bills pertaining to community associations that the Governor has already signed as of April 30, 2018, please visit the “Publications” tab of our website. We are waiting for the Governor to sign the last of the bills that were approved on May 4, 2018. Once the Governor does that, we will release our 2018 Legislative Update Cheat Sheet on our law firm’s website and social media. Stay tuned for more information!
